Common Toolbar commands

The following commands can be found in the toolbar above Work Area

Common Toolbar Commands

The toolbar changes, depending on the selection in the Navigation Pane.

Command

Description

Comment

New

Create a New  item.

For example: a new Interface; Task; Step etc.

Delete

Delete an item.

Appropriate warning messages appear.

Copy

Copy an item.

In some cases, there is more than one copy option.

Notes

Use to add a note to an item.

Adds the note to an item.

Enable

Click to enable the selected interface(s).

Run selected instance(s).  A warning screen appears:

Are you sure that you want to enable ALL records?

Disable

Click to disable the selected interface(s).

Disable selected instance(s). A warning screen appears:

Are you sure that you want to disable ALL records?

Indicates a choice in the procedure

Select the possibility that matches your previous selections

N

Warning message

Alerts the user of a condition that might cause a problem in the future.

Note

Displays the notification message to the user.

 

To Create a New Item:

 

The procedure for creating new items is described separately for each <item>. Check the table of contents for the item you wish to create.

 

To Edit an Item:

 

Follow the instructions to reach the <item> type in the Navigation Pane. A list of <items> appears in the relevant Work Area.

  1. Double-click the <item>.  The Edit <item> page appears.
  2. Make the necessary changes (see the <item>'s New section for additional information).
  3. Click Save & Close to save the changes and exit the <item>.

To Delete an Item:

  1. In the relevant Work Area select the <item> for deleting.
  2. Click Delete . A confirmation warning message appears.
  3. Click Confirm to delete the selected <item>. 

 

To Copy an Item:

 

  1. In the relevant Work Area select the <item> for copy.
  2. Click Copy to current interface. A conformation warning message appears.
  1. Click Confirm to copy the selected <item>. 

To Add Notes to an Item:

  1. In the relevant Work Area select the <item> for adding a note.
  2. Click Notes. The Notes pane opens.
  3. Click to add a note. A new note appears. 
  4. Write the note.
  5. Click to save the note.
  6. Click Esc to return to the Work Area.
